| Click the Start button in the bottom corner. Click Settings and open the Control Panel. Open the Sounds folder. Scroll through the menu, locate and select "new mail notification." Click the browse button and select the sound file you want to use from your hard drive. Click 'OK' and you are done! Mac OS X Mail Select Mail | Preferences... from the menu in Mac OS X Mail. Go to the General tab. Select your favorite sound under New mail sound:. You can choose from the drop-down list or specify a sound file by selecting Add/Remove.... |

| You can send a sound with your mail on two ways. First via an attachment. Click on attachment, browse for the file, select and click the file. It's also possible to send a sound, so the receiver hears the sound opening the mail. Click on Compose and go via Background to Sound. Search the place where you filed the sound and indicate how often the sound has to be played. |
